Since 2017, Beach Fuzz has been rocking basements around the Philadelphia underground music scene. They've recently gained a major amount of popularity from going viral on the new social media platform TikTok.

From Philly Basements...

Shortly after releasing their self-titled EP, Beach Fuzz in the Summer of 2018, Beach Fuzz hit the house show scene in Philadelphia. Playing at venues such as the Catamaran and Lizard Lounge in West Philadelphia, and the Glass Onion and the Soda Bar in North Philadelphia, Beach Fuzz had grown a reputation for their poppy licks and great musicianship. The next year they released their first album, Casual Encounters, which has slowly, but surely, become a major hit with the indie audience.

...To Social Media Stardom

Let's goooooo!: The TikTok that exposed hundreds of thousands of new fans to Beach Fuzz

At the beginning of the quarantine, almost 9 months after the release of their first album, Beach Fuzz posted a short clip from one of their shows to the social media platform TikTok. The post reached virality, and today it has over 250,000 views. This led to Beach Fuzz's album receiving greater attention, and their top song on Spotify, Join the Club, now has almost 90,000 listens.

Beach Fuzz's Future

With the newfound success from their TikTok account and in the midst of recording a second EP, Beach Fuzz's future is looking very bright. Until new music is released, you can check out their latest single A/B, Talking by the River on Spotify.
